BOSS: What? Really?
MAN 1: The train wreck had some help. Some fighter girl and a scrappy disguised like a human.
BOSS: Are you sure?
MAN 1: He blocked my pipe with his arm. I know what hitting a scrappy feels like.
BOSS: Excellent. Where is it?
MAN 1: The kid was leading them right back to the train yard.
BOSS: What? Really?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Who’s dressing up today? I appear to have no costume D: so I suppose I will just be myself u_u orr….*cuts two holes in my mums bed sheets* YESS! Classic Ghost! *hides before mum finds out*

Yes, yes, I know–it’s part of the story–but the more I see of that ugly lump, the more I wish that Cara’d cut about six centimeters deeper.
On the brighter side, I’m loving the layout–especially that slightly off-square inset (panel 3). Daring and artistic. Did you giggle to yourself when you made it? 🙂
Hahahaha!!! You’re not the only one to say something like that 😛 well I guess I am good at creating nasty characters (along with the help of Dan of course 😉 )
I like to experiment lots with panel layout! I like to see if I can of course use it to help tell the story, but with that one I wanted to give the sense of that this guy is top dog and will be over-powering and make readers/under-dogs feel slightly uncomfortable. Well….I’m still testing the waters! Glad you’re enjoying it and noticing these things too!!
I guess I’ve been trained to look for things like that–places where an artist is pushing her/himself to try new things–and encourage her/him.
By-the-by, you’ve now spent some time in the TWC top 200. Did you notice boost in your Unique Viewer stat? If you did, that’s why I’m such a pest about it, and why I push so hard for new voters–call it a hobby that ran away with me. 🙂
