Tethered #194-195
Ed tries his best to accommodate how Cara is feeling, he knows there is no point forcing her to talk, and quickly changes the mood, giving her time to think about something else (such as using chop sticks).
I’d like to think that Ed does have a fork on him, but uses it as an excuse for a distraction and to alter the conversation to a less depressing subject.
The years haven’t been kind to Cara, and with not many people around her, other than those who are probably just as stabby stabby as she is, she’s not been able to fully conquer these flashbacks of traumatic experiences. She grew distant and finds it challenging to trust anyone, the only real comfort she gets from Ed, is that he isn’t human.
