PANEL 1
BEN
Wait just a minute! We can’t trust them. For all we know she could be working with the Bruxburn gang, sent here to spy on us.
ROBIN
[laying hand on Ben’s arm]
Dad, calm down. I apologise for my father. He’s a little suspicious of strangers.
PANEL 2
BEN
And rightfully so! My suspicions are what have kept us alive.
LIAM
For which we’re very grateful, Ben. But these two did save Michael. The least we can do is let them wait out this storm.
PANEL 3
ANNE
And we could use a couple more pairs of strong hands in the fields. The rains came early this year.
PANEL 4
BEN
You can’t seriously be considering letting them stay?
ROBIN
And why not? We have the space.
[Ben grumpy faced, looking at other council members who all want to let them stay]

And way back down my respect goes, it may not stop, but then–who knows?
Wait, what don’t you like? I take this personally! Having helped write this dialogue and etc! 😛
Grandpa Cantthinkahead. If they don’t put a lid on him, they’re going to die out in about two generations for lack of new blood. The rest of the council isn’t much more thoughtful.
The writing is excellent, and the characters are what they have to be to make a good story. I’m just reacting to them as if they were real, which, if you read my blog posts (and I know you do ^^ ), you know I consider that the sign of great, effective writing. This post is a continuation of my first two about the council’s blockheadedness in general. 🙂
Sorry for the confusion. If I had a real problem, I’d use the email option, not bitch about it here.
And the artwork and pacing is still really good, too. 🙂
I always appreciate your comments! And no confusion! I did request for Dan to write it that way! To which he has done a great job with helping me with this section of the story 🙂 Dialogue not being my greatest strength!
I love to create thought provoking situations, that you get good and bad cases everywhere. People don’t tend to think ahead if paranoid or scared (even giving Ben a scar to insinuate that they had it bad prior to meeting Cara and Ed).
I hope to do this more in future comics, I want to hear peoples thoughts and discuss 🙂 even if it takes a while for me to respond, it’s been great seeing how people react to the characters and what they’re going through.
So thanks again dude!
You are forgiven 😉
I breathe again. 🙂
Darn it…. This comic went to fast!!!
Awwww!!!! STILL LOADS MORE TO COME! Thanks for reading!!!
Wait! Ben looks like he was burned like a burn victim! and Ed has a mask that makes him look like a burn victim! They’re perfect for each other!!!!!
Could possibly be if Ben wasn’t so stubborn! XD BFF’S FOREVER!
